December: Initial tests; Started the topology definition and development of tools

March: INPE and NBSO/Brazilian CERT (currently known as CERT.br) deployed The Honeynet.BR Project
June: Joined the Honeynet Research Alliance
August: sessionlimit v0.2 released
November: Presented a paper describing the Honeynet.BR Project at the 4th Brazilian Information Security Symposium (in Portuguese)

February: sessionlimit v0.3 released
March: The Honeynet.BR completed its first year!
June: Presented the paper Honeynets Applied to the CSIRT Scenario at 15th Annual Computer Security Incident Handling Conference
September: The Honeynet.BR Distributed Honeypots Project started
October: Presented a 5 days course about Honeypots and Honeynets at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands
November: Presented 2 papers and a tutorial at the 5th Brazilian Information Security Symposium (in Portuguese)
December: Presented 2 papers and a talk at the December GTS meeting (in Portuguese)

January: Honeynet.BR website redesigned; A second honeynet was deployed, following the same topology used in the first one
February: Mydoom.pl 0.6 released
April: Presented a tutorial and a talk at the April GTS meeting (in Portuguese); Honeydsum 0.3 released; Mydoom.pl included in Honeyd distribution
May: Presented two papers at the I WorkComp Sul; Invited talk at the AusCERT Conference 2004 -- Honeynets and Honeypots: Companion technology for detection and response; Participation in a Q&A Session at the AusCERT Conference 2004 -- participants: Max Kilger, Kirby Kuehl, Marty Roesch and Cristine Hoepers
